Bilharzia in Botswana

 The WHO Atlas of the Global Distribution of Schistosomiasis (1987) reports
 a 24.4 % prevalence of S. mansoni in the Ngamiland/Chobe regions of
 Botswana. Among the localities that  were positive, the following are
 listed: Sepopa, Seronga, Gomare, Nokaneng, Tsau, Maun, Shorobe.
 Schistosomiasis was not reported in Setitwa and Toteng.
 Reference is made to a "Report on the Botswana national bilharziasis
 survey, October 1976-October 1978" by Rudo, B.M. (1979), Gaborone, Ministry
 of Health, 45 p.
