POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
RESEARCH TECHNICIAN
ANTI-INFLAMMATORY AGENTS OF PARASITES
Two positions are available immediately, funded by a Wellcome Trust Grant
aimed at elucidating mechanisms and isolating molecules secreted by
parasitic nematodes which suppress inflammation. The research programme
will focus on antagonists of chemokine-receptor interactions, and enzymes
which hydrolyse inflammatory mediators.
Postdoctoral Research Associate should have experience in biochemistry and
molecular biology and an interest in the immunology of infectious diseases.
The appointment will be on the RA1A scale, starting salary £19,869-£22,579
plus £2,134 London Allowance, at a point commensurate with experience.
Research Technician should have expertise in cellular immunology, and
experience in or an aptitude for molecular biology & biochemistry. The
appointment will be made up to Grade E, starting point £16,380 plus £2,262
London Weighting.
Both appointments are for 3 years, with the possibility of renewal.
