My vote is to leave it as a newsgroup. I find newsgroups much easier to
navigate (since Newsreaders have threading virtually as standard) and you
get the added benefit of getting all your messages archived at Dejanews
for free.
I know mail readers are available that will do filtering and threading,
but we don't have them here and they are far less widespread than decent
newreaders.
