New release of Staden Package (2001.0)

Staden Package 2001.0 available for download

We are pleased to announce that a new release (2001.0) of the Staden Package 
for UNIX/LINUX and MS Windows systems is now available for download.

Our thanks to those who submitted reports on the beta release.

Our thanks to those who replied to our recent on their use of operating 
systems. A summary of the findings is contained in:

It showed that there is a strong desire for a Macintosh version of the package 
to be made available. Given that the same code runs on UNIX/LINUX and MS 
Windows, producing a version for Mac OS X should not be too difficult. 
Anybody interested in making a serious attempt at this should let us know.
