I am working through the STADEN tutorial "Using the STADEN Package"
under mac OS X. When I process the five sample sequences for the
tutorial with pregap 4, all pass the quality clipping test. The manual
says that only 3 of the 5 should pass, and visual inspection of the
traces with trev confirms this. Does anyone else have experience with
this or have any ideas?
Also, I just found out about the lousy funding decision made on
STADEN. I think making it Open Source is a wonderful decision. I don't
have enough programming experience to help port, etc., but I would be
happy to be a beta tester.
Finally, any news/rumors on whether this program will continue to be
developed?
