I am not sure which species this is supposed to be in (it may not
even be a urodele but an anuran), but in some such animal I have heard
it rumored that the somites on the left vs. the right side of the
midline develop at different rates. Is this true? Has anyone seen
this? My own work is on left-right asymmetry in the chick embryo and I
am curious if this factlet is true. Please reply to
