LOCATION: The conference rooms, meals and sleeping quarters will be
provided by the Airlie Conference Center. The Airlie buildings are
historic manor homes, cottages and estates dating from the 18th century,
and are surrounded by hills and ponds that serve as a wildlife refuge. The
Airlie Conference Center is located in Virginia 50 miles southwest of
Washington, DC approximately 1 hour from National Airport, and about 30
minutes from Dulles International Airport.
TRANSPORTATION: We suggest that participants fly into Dulles
International Airport, Virginia (located west of the Washington
metropolitan area) since airfares are usually more inexpensive and ground
transportation will be provided on Sunday, September 24th from Dulles to
Airlie; fewer buses will be chartered from Washington National Airport.
If you choose to take a cab, fares from Dulles and Washington Airports
to Airlie are approximately $ 50 and $80, respectively.
Transportation from Airlie to both airports will be provided at noon time
on the last day of the symposium.
HOUSING AND MEALS: Single and double rooms with air conditioning and
private baths are available. The package includes breakfast, lunch,
dinner, snacks and overnight accommodations. The cost of the package for
the 3 days of the meeting are $ 480 for single and $ 390 for double
rooms. A package for local participants is available for $ 120; it
includes attendance to all conferences and poster sessions, snacks and
lunch.
POSTER SESSIONS: Poster sessions will be held on September 25 and 26.
Please indicate the session most appropriate for your work on the
Registration Form. Abstract sizes should be limited to 6 X 4 in.. The
presentation boards will be 4 X 4 ft..
REGISTRATION: The meeting will be limited to a total of 150
participants. Registration deadline is August 15, 1995. A registration
fee of $ 120.00 should be paid by check or money order (in US Dollars),
and accompany the completed Registration Form and abstract. The
registration fee is non-refundable. Applications received after the
meeting has been filled to capacity will be returned immediately with
full payment. Please make the check or money order payable to the "Airlie
