BECAUSE OF URODELE REGENERATION WE WENT THROUGH A SOCIAL CHANGE.
That was the opening statement an undergraduate student made for an oral
report on the Dinsmore ms. which reviews the early history of
regeneration for the upcoming special "urodele issue" of the International J.
Developmental Biology.
"Science was organized around religion, in the old days, and regeneration
phenomena conflicted with prevalent notions about preformation", is what
she said.
