Dear netters,
Many years ago, alkaline phosphatase was a very popular marker use by
many embryologists, and I think it was postulated to be a very
important enzyme for differentiation initiation.
Does anybody know the molecular weight of alkaline phosphatase (in SDS
PAGE) in frog or urodele embryos?
What is the function(s) of alkaline phosphatase in embryogenesis? Are
there any pieces of evidence showing its function in embryogenesis or
differentiation?
Thank you in advance.
