Dear Prof. Malacinski,
The laboratory for amphibian biology of Hiroshima University is the quite
unique center worldwide in that the laboratory dedicates to the studies
soly on amphibians. The laboratory consists of three divisions , division
of developmental genetics, division of species speciation, and division of
phenotype expression. Each division contains three posts for professor,
associate professor, and assistant professor. In addition, the laboratory
has an associate professor and several technical assistants who are
responsible for fertilyzation and maitenance of lines of biologically
important amphibians. The laboratory has been established 31 years ago by
the Ministry of Education and Science.
The post of professor for the division of species speciation is now vacant
and open to scientists who are qualified for actively developing researches
in the area such as evolution, species differentiation, regional
specification, utilizing amphibians and molecular biolological techniques.
The person who is qualified for this professor by the pofessors` meeting
of faculty of science of Hiroshima University and finally by the president
of the University can start the research activity from appropriate date in
1999, which is negotiable with the person,and is payed and funded according
to the Goverment Standard.
If you know some appropriate possible candidates for this post, I ask you
