Axolotl Colony axolotl at indiana.edu
Wed May 2 12:25:15 EST 2001

Dear friends of urodeles!

I have prepared a grant proposal to obtain funding for
attempting the make transgenic axolotls. We at the I.U.
Axolotl Colony would like to ask you to read through
the proposal, and suggest improvements.

You can download the proposal as a PDF file at

http://sunflower.bio.indiana.edu/~urodele/urodeleadvantage/index.html

You can also send comments at that address or please e-mail
malacins at indiana.edu your suggestions by May 7.

If transgenic axolotls, or the method itself, would
benefit your research projects, please send a fax on
your letterhead saying that, and perhaps include a
2-sentence note describing a hypothesis you would be
able to test with transgenics. We will initially
attempt to make a GFP-cell marker transgenic, and
then various "overexpression" phenotypes.

You help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, in advance, George M. Malacinski
