Axolotl Cell Lines

Hi All,
The Axolotl Colony is increasingly receiving requests from researchers
looking for axolotl cell lines of one type or another. As this is not
something that we can supply, I would like to extend these requests to the
community at large.

For our own general knowledge here at the colony: Has anyone successfully
generated (or are you working toward generating) axolotl cell lines of any
sort? If so, will you please take a minute to post a short note about the
cell lines you may currently have or may be working toward producing? If
we as a community all know that these things are available, and that
people are willing to share their expertise and/or materials, it may help
prevent other labs from 'reinventing the wheel.'

More specifically, Craig Crews from Yale is looking to make contact with
anyone with experience regarding axolotl cell-lines in general.
Specificaly, he is interested in advice about procuring and/or producing
axolotl primary epithelial cell cultures. If anyone can assist Dr. Crews
in his pursuit, you may reach him through the Axolotl Colony, or by
posting to this forum. I will forward any email messages directly to Dr.
Crews. Thank you all for your time.
Sincerely,

Jill Gresens
IU Axolotl Colony
