Medline is in fact reachable by TELNET (via Internet), the IP address is
130.14.10.200
You will need an account, which you can get by calling 800-638-8480.
The account means you will be billed monthly according to use.
Optional: There is a package of user-friendly software called Grateful Med
which will
help you define the searching parameters and do automatic log ins to the
Medline
computer via Internet. GM versions for MS-DOS and Mac are
available for ~$ 50 US: call 800/423-9355 to order.
