Regarding the question about HPV.
It belongs to the papillomavirus family. It is a double stranded DNA virus
which has till last year not been cultured in Vivo. It is also one of the
most commonly occurring STD's. They are ususally more of a problem with
women due to the possibility of development into Cancer ( although the
risk is very small).
Warts tend to disappear within a couple of years. However the use of liquid
nitrogen is common in their removal.
This view is only a Virology and Immunology view of the Virus. Now that we
can culture it in Vitro we can study it much better and do drug testing.
Go see a doctor if you haven't already and don't be alarmed. It is much more
frequent than you think.
Good Luck.
Cheers,
