Many thanks to all of you who pointed out that VPg stands either for:
Viral protein - genome-linked (most common) or
Viral protein - genomic
On the other matter - thanks again for those who pointed out that Promega's
pGEM5 and 7 and pGL vectors have Mlu1 sites in the MCS. Unfortunately I
need to lift the Mlu1 insert out again on flanking sites, and the only one
in the pGEMs is a Nsi1 which is no use to me.
However, Boehringer Mannheim do a vector pUCBM20 which is more useful!
All this goes to illustrate how useful this list can be!
