This is a repost of info as their 'mail buffer' is 'small':

To Kim Barr

Cream from Kem-en-tec: The PC-based image processing system was demo'ed
to us the other day. It's a msoftware modular thing where you pay for what you
want or can afford. The base module is essential - AUD$4200. The 1-D system
uses a scanner (HPIIp) and camera and is AUD$4700. Camera (sony ssc-m370)
costs $2224 zoom lens $715. Scanner (A4 size but 'legal' size is available for
more $) costs $2270. The Cream DNA module using scanner only costs $4700.

So its expensive, powerful, looks 'semi'-user friendly, can do lots for you.
The onething which was lacking was an 'undo' ie. go back one step I did the
wrong thing! type ofmechanism. New software which is windows-based (this
system seems pretty much just that!!) is 'coming' later this year
 - no cost for upgrade!

I'll keep you posted, cheers. :-|) Ian Carter
