human papillomavirus serology

I would welcome opinions on which are the best assays to detect
antibodies to HPV 16.  We would like to have a type specfic and a
group specific assay.  The assays described in the literature do not
look very specific.  Are peptides the best way to go or should we be
looking at other methods to produce antigen???
