I just ran across an interesting article in an old Science (Levinson, et al. Sc
ience, 1972 172:76). It reports that host DNA is carried over in the Rous Sarc
oma virion. First, I wondered if this has been verified again in the past 20
years. Also, does anyone know if host DNA is found in the HIV particles that
are shed?
