Aussie horse virus / AHSV in humans

I am rather embarrassed that my aside to the main discussion should
have attracted so much interest, but I suppose one shouldn't go
making leading comments about such touchy subjects as potentially
human-pathogenic viruses without expecting a come-back!

So here it is: the only reference I know about to African
horsesickness virus causing disease in humans:

BJ Erasmus, RJ Swanepoel, R Williams and DW Verwoerd, 1990. Human
infection with African horsesickness virus (AHSV). P16-005 in
Proceedings, VIIIth International Congress of Virology, Berlin,
August 26-31, 1990.

Hope is of use,
