Not entirely true. The US Army has discovered, to some dismay, that
Ebola Zaire can also be spread by airborne transmission, though not TOO
efficiently.
Though the Reston strain hasn't produced positive human cases, it has
been introduced to several people's immune system - picked up by aerial
transmission - and produced antibody response. The differences,
genetically, and the Marburg, Sudan, and Zaire strains are so minor that
it could easily develop into a human pathogen if given a chance.
