Radio news just reported an outbreak of a hot virus in Gabon, which
lies on the West Coast of Africa between Angola and Camroon. The news
reported ebola-like symptoms, with 15 known dead and a WHO team enroute.
The southern edge of Gabon touches Kinsasha and Kinsasha Highway (the
so-called AIDS Highway). Plotting this latest outbreak reinforces the
impression of a general range of infection that has slowly migrated
west from the Mount Elgon/Lake Victoria Region through the Congo
rainforest to the coastal regions.
