Two positions are currently being advertised for the Southeast Poultry
Reseaerch Laboratory. Both positions are for a Microbiologist or
Veterinary Medical Officer at the GS12/13 level.
Position one is for a virologist to identify and characterize molecular
structure of viral agents responsible for poult enteritis mortality
syndrome (PEMS). Qualifications are the PhD in a related field or DVM
with the PhD degree. Postdoctoral experience in virology/microbiology is

useful in discriminating among Salmonella enteritidis isolates for
epidemiological purposes. Qualifications are the PhD in microbiology or
