HIV-1 virions: duration of budding

Does anyone has information about the time needed for HIV-1 particles
budding. I want to study the effects of some HIV-1 inhibitors on the
virion structure, by EM tools. The difficulty is that I want to
analyze directly the effects on treated particles, and not on
particles produced by treated cells. Unfortunately, we didn't succeed
in direct processing of viral supernatants for EM analysis. Thus, we
plan to directly process cell cultures, by a standard technique (in
this technique, virions seen are those trapped between cells). So, I
need to know the mean time of budding, to be sure that viruses
observed were released (or at least were late-buds) before the
inhibitor treatment (that is 15-45 min. long).

thank you!
