I am an interested layman in the field of virology...with the emphasis on
layman! I have done some reading and am interested in getting
recommendations on English language books, articles, or electronic texts
regarding current efforts in epidemiology, hemorrhagic fevers, Hanta, et.
al.

The books I have read include
    The Coming Plague
The Hot Zone (both of which I am a little skeptical about, to be quite
honest...they come across as sensationalized accounts designed to sell
copies)
Virus Ground Zero (not finished as yet)
A Dancing Matrix (which came across as the least sensationalized, and a
bit more balanced...perhaps because the writer is not a "professional
writer" quite like the others).

Any information, suggestions, or pointers toward helpful books,
electronic-texts, or journals to which I could subscribe would be
appreciated.

Replies here, or if you prefer email: gsnow at mchs.org

  Thank you kindly.
