If you are refering to tobacco mosaic virus (TMV), I suggest you first look at
the genome of this virus. What kind of molecule is it? Then ask, where does
it replicate? If you answer these questions, the answer to your question will
be obvious. May I suggest a trip to the library to check out a basic virology
text. I would recommend Bernie Field's book, but as an animal virologist I
realize it is woefully inadequate for plant virology. Anyone else have a
suggestion?
