RNA and DNA

Can anybody tell me the difference between RNA and DNA virus. Is it
true that only RNA virus can reverse transcrip to insert its DNA into
the host genome. DNA virus can't do it. Then Hep virus is a DNA virus.
So it should not be able to insert its DNA into host cell. Yet it is a
chronic diease. If its DNA cannot be corporated into host how can it
stay inside the host cell so long.

Thanks
Declan
