Faculty Position in Microbiology
The Department of Biological Sciences of the Bayer School of Natural and
Environmental Sciences invites applications for a full-time,
tenure-track
position at the rank of assistant professor. Primary consideration will
be
given to individuals with research interests in molecular mechanisms of
microbial pathogenesis or a closely related area. Applicants must have
a
Ph.D., postdoctoral research experience, and a commitment to both
research
and teaching. The successful candidate will receive a competitive
start-up
package and salary, and is expected to develop an extramurally funded
research program involving undergraduate and graduate students.
Participation in teaching undergraduate microbiology and development of
a
course in microbial pathogenesis is expected. Deadline for receipt of
all
