GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Virologist Ph.D. with in-depth adenovirus research experience to work within
a pioneer organization. This progressive organization strongly supports your
issuing publications and patents and giving presentations to international
groups.
COMPANY
Dynamic biopharmaceutical pioneer in tumor-targeted cancer therapeutic
research. Engaged in discovery and development of novel cancer therapeutics.
LOCATION
San Francisco Bay Area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with a unique platform that uses an adenovirus which selectively
propagates within cancer cells. Primary focus would be developing this
platform targeting systemic malignant disease. Apply adenovirus experience.
Work with highly collaborative team to plan, implement and evaluate ways to
utilize company's viral platforms to target metastatic disease. Design
replicate viral vectors that conditionally express therapeutic transgenes.
Analyze the potency of these viruses through in vitr
o and in vivo human cancer models. Apply creativity and strong (oral and
written) communication skills to plan, implement, evaluate and document
these studies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. with in-depth adenovirus experience training in molecular virology and
viral immunology. Of special interest: viral vector based gene therapy
experience highly desirable. Training in basic virology and extensive
knowledge of mammalian DNA. Proven experience in one or more of the
following: host-virus interactions, genetic regulation or viral replication.
