The figures we tell our undergraduate students were worked out
a number of years ago for an avian (A/FPV) strain of flu and come
out at:

1 HAU ~ 10E7 particles ~ 10E6 egg infectious doses ~ 10E5 pfu

I think this is probably ball-park correct for most strains of flu, but
it will vary.  Growth conditions, storage etc. will also affect things.
