A post-doctoral position is available, in a new research group
studying HIV-1 coreceptors and cellular tropisms.
The work will involve PCR amplification
of complete envelope genes from patient material. Envelopes will
then be expressed on reporter viruses to study coreceptors used
for infection and tropism for primary cell cultures including
macrophages, brain microglia and astrocytes. Further details
