NP40 inactivation of vaccinia

Does anyone know whether 1% NP40 or triton X-100 will inactivate vaccinia
virus? (We need to run an enzyme assay in cells infected with recombinant
vaccinia; the enzyme is stable in NP40, and if we can eliminate infectious
virus it will be much less work to run the asssays.) I assume that,
vaccinia being enveloped, the detergent will inactivate it, but I'd like
to be sure.
