Tenure-Track Assistant Professor: Biological Sciences
UW-Parkside Biological Sciences Department, a UW-System Center of
Excellence, seeks a person desiring a balance of research and teaching
starting in Fall, 1994.
PhD with proven competence in applying the techniques of molecular biology
in research. Post-doctoral and teaching experiences preferred. Teaching
assignments in the undergraduate and graduate program may include upper
division course(s) at the cell level (e.g. immunology, developmental
biology, cell biology, virology, neurobiology etc.), laboratory modules on
cell cultures, protein purification and immunotechniques, and an
introductory course for majors or non-majors.
UW-Parkside is a predominantly undergraduate institution with a diverse
student body located in the Chicago-Milwaukee corridor. The 14-person
department offers excellent undergraduate options/concentration in General
Biology, Pre-Health and Molecular Biology and a M.S. in Applied Molecular
Biology. All faculty have active research programs. Collaborations are
encouraged.
