Postdoctoral fellow needed to direct a funded project studying molecular
mechanisms underlying human prostate cancer. Approaches include
identification of point mutations by PCR-SSCP, direct sequencing of ss and
ds PCR products, in situ hybridization, and preparation of cDNA libraries
for tumor-specific genes. Experience in one or more of the following areas
is strongly encouraged: cancer genetics, sequencing (esp. experience with
automated sequencers), preparation and screening of cDNA libraries in
lambda gt11-based vectors, and PCR. Excellent opportunity to become team
leader and to establish track record for independence. Seeking only mature,
ambitious candidates able to work both independently and collaboratively in
large medical center.
