I should mention that one of the advantages of news software, besides
keeping your personal mail file a lot cleaner, is that it can organize
messages together by Subject: line instead of presenting a variety of
topics to you simply in chronological order of arrival by mail. This
makes it much more efficient to read what you want to read and skip
the rest.
I can send information on getting public domain news software to
anyone that wants it if they send a request to biosci at net.bio.net.
Note however, that this software usually needs to be installed and
maintained by a systems administrator. It is not as simple as
installing a word processor onto a PC.
Sincerely,
Dave Kristofferson
