Hello all. I'm new at this newsgroup posting so please forgive any mistakes!
I was wondering if anyone out there knows if there is a women in science
group based at the University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada??
I've recently started my MSc degree in molecular biology here at U of T
and would be very interested to join such a group. I did my undergrad
studies at the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada and was
president of WiNS - Women in Natural Sciences - at the U of S for a year.
Also, it would be nice to obtain a listing of such groups at all campuses
across North America, in order to initate discussions between the various
groups. It would also be beneficial to trade speakers, perhaps?
So if you know of a women in science group based out of your university/city
please respond to me directly if you wish, preferably with a contact
name/email address.
If there is no women in science group at the U of T, then I would be
very interested in starting one. If you're interested in helping out,
please respond.
By the way, this newsgroup is a great idea!
