children and careers

I'd just like to think its great that there is a place where we can discuss 
these issues. 
 I'm 27 this year and have just landed myself a lecturing 
position (albeit only a 12 month contract).  

THIS IS GREAT, but I am thinking about when to have children (probably a few 
years off yet) and how I will manage.  It's good to hear how others have 
managed the juggling act and stayed sane! Thankyou!
