Oh, have SUCH fun! I remember taking my kids into the university lab.
when they were young. Once, when THE TIMES deputy editor wanted to
discuss some articles over lunch, the kids came too. They played with
Soviet children in the seas of the Black Sea in the days of the iron
curtain; with leprous children, some with damaged limbs, in the desert
villages of North Africa; came to Jersey just to sample langoustines when
they came in season, and to Mallorca to pick oranges when one had asked
about citrus fruits. To them, looking at life down a microscope was as
every-day an experience as working a calculator.
