Post-doctural description
A post doctural position is available to study novel inflammatory factors
associated with chronic cardiac rejection and transplant
arteriosclerosis. The project is focused on the isolation and
characterization of complementary DNA and genomic clones coding for
cytokine responsive macrophage factors previously identified by their
localization within rat cardiac allografts undergoing chronic rejection.
Project will also involve the development and analysis of recombinant
mutants in a series of in-vitro and in-vivo models and participation in
efforts develop over-expressing and knock out mice.
The project is planned for a minimum of two years. Funding for the
position is available immediately on a scale dependent on years of
experience. Candidates should possess an MD or Ph.D. with a background in
molecular immunology, vascular or cell biology.
