The change in the female botanist from the book to the movie bugged me.
They *had* to have her romantically involved with the male paleontologist.
I know that other changes were made in the story, mostly removing the
majority of the ethical discussion, but those I could more easily
swallow for some reason.
Is there a theory that a movie without sexual undertones would be
less interesting or acceptable?
