There's a wonderful book out there called "Saving Saint Germ". I forget
the name of the author, but it's about a biochemist and her struggle to
balance her passion for science and her personal life. She's obsessed
with coming up with a unifying theory to explain the forces that hold
molecules together. When she gets stressed, she starts to see people
and things coming apart into their components. The book raises the
issue of whether there is a difference between insanity,
irresponsibility and genius. Great book. Oh, the main character talks
about her favorite female scientists throughout the book and so it was
also a good place to learn a bit of history.

My name's Kathy, by the way. I'm a graduate student at Sloan Kettering.
I'm studying Developmental Biology. I work with frogs. It was nice to
find this list.
