SYSTEMS PHYSICIST: Lead the research and development of state of the art
digital image acquisition and processing techniques. Provides technical
direction and expertise within the systems group, as well as, technical
leadership in ongoing imaging improvements. Produces project estimates
and commitments to deliverables for the total system development and
integration project.
BS in EE, Physics (or related) with 5-7 years of experience in a product
development, research group, or clinical experience (preferable at a
teaching institution). Experience in radiographic and fluoroscopic
image quality specification and assessment. A working understanding of
image processors and digital enhancement techniques. Current in
state-of the-art patents and practices in X-ray imaging and image
processing. Experience in developing image enhancement algorithms and
advanced imaging enhancements techniques.
