FYI In light of the Child Care Issue: no reply recessary:
Last night my youngest daughter who is a Special Education Teacher in a
public school district in Northern California called me in an extremely
"protesting" mood. Seems as if employees of this district had their entire
school district calendar set up re Veterans Day, and District wished
observe the holiday on Monday, rather than Tuesday, and then use Tuesday
for staff development. Apparently in California, maybe other states?) ,
the Veterans Administration is doing an audit on the observance of V.Day.
When the VA determined that this school district was observing the
holiday on Monday, (even though the teachers and staff had voted on it)
the Veterans Administration required them to move the holiday to Tuesday
rather than Monday. This apparently is the only national holiday that
cannot be moved.
