Departments with training grants (which should include many of the
programs you are considering) generally keep detailed, accurate and up to
date records of their students (not just the ones on the training grant)
as supporting evidence of the quality of the program. You might start
there. For example, our records go back about 20 years and all mentors and
past students are contacted yearly to obtain updated information.
