***Several list members (by private e mail) have requested a "re-post" of
the rough draft of the Questionnaire. Happy to oblige. However, I would
be most pleased to receive your commentaries by Monday, May 4, 1998. This
will give time to review all the comments, make some needed corrections,
and redistribute the final version.
***The most essential issue is that list members volunteer to contact their
universities. and get lists of the Ph.D. 's granted in the years 1987-1992.
The following universities have been nominated:
MIT, Duke, Univ of Wiscosin at Madison, UCLA, UCBerkeley, Univ of
Chicago. IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT WE GET BOTH GENDERS, AND AS LARGE A GROUP
WITHIN THOSE YEARS AS POSSIBLE.
***I will prepare a general letter and send to the various departments
which will be inclusive of the what, why's and where's. Hopefully I will
elicit deparmental cooperation for the return of data.
***Complete directions will be provided for those individuals who
volunteer.
