by a three-year grant from the NIH to study gonadal neoplasms in the soft
shell clam, Mya arenaria. The salary range is $25,000 to $30,000. Extension
is contingent upon further funding. The candidate will be expected to apply
molecular/biochemical techniques to the study of tumorigenesis in aquatic
organisms and to participate directly in both research and laboratory
management. A Ph.D. in biochemistry, toxicology or molecular biology is
required. Experience with recombinant DNA techniques and/or protein
biochemistry is highly desirable.
