may all our experiments work, all our papers be published, and all our
grants be funded.

Let's try to get the newsgroup up and running again. I have a suspicion
that we have been affected not only by the seasonal downturn but by
technical issues--maybe it's me, but it hasn't seemed the same since
Bionet started machine-monitoring us to guard against spam.

The Women In Biology Internet Launch page is one year old. It finished
1998 with its first award: the HMS Beagle Webpick. I spent some time
over the holidays upgrading and checking links and adding many new ones.
Take a look at http://pingu.salk.edu/~forsburg/bio.html and as always,
let me know what you think and any links you think should be added.
