Some concerns:
As a as a former scientist and now a patent attorney, I too hope that
this forum stays afloat. I enjoy the comaraderie. Even though I am not
beset with the stresses of research, perse, as a woman in the science,
however, peripherally, I still interact with the male of the science
species. Who in many cases feel that they must have a male attorney or a
woman attorney who thinks they are a genius.
It has happened to me more times than I care to count where my dealings
with some tenured slob thinks that he is also Don Juan and how could I
not recognize this.
So in my own arena I continue to experience a different hue of the same
color.
