I am not adverse to signing the petition re the human rights, medical
attention, etc. for the women in Afghanistan. Having been in
Afghanistan for a month in 1972, I can perceive the highly conservative
Islamic world. As one of my daughters almost married an Iranian (prior
to the deposition of the Shah-en Shah) Glad she did not. However, I
would like more documentation on the origin of this petition, and the
ultimate disposition. Would the reference address provided be able to
provide this?
