Pam - you took the words RIGHT out of my mouth. Both points are
well-taken - we have to sell our work as junior investigators, and it
really helps to have a senior investigator advocate it for you. And
I HATE selling things! And all the other scientists with whom I am
friends feel the same. Yet it's a necessary skill - look at writing
grants, as well as publishing, not to mention the inevitable job
search(es).
