Stacey- I had one child in grad school, and one as a postdoc- both before I
was 30. It can be done. I am currently an assistant professor. If you know you
want children, you'll find a way to have them (just make sure your
spouse/partner is very supportive and willing to do equal shares.)
If you are convinced that you don't want a career in Medicine or academia-
there are options- some require a Masters Degree, some do not- but it is
important to recognize that biology is a very popular major.
